I need some radius dishes made. Need 4 of them. Small dish(
rectangular 15x11) 15 foot radius. Anyone that knows how to make em
interested? If so shoot me an e-mail and a price (I'll supply the dish
material (baltic birch ply) of what it would take for you to make 4 of them.

I bought mine from a guy on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47067 &item=7305130936&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

They are cheaper than the big guys. They are MDF. I mounted them onto birch ply and have not had problems with them warping.

I have bought some from him too, but I need small ones and I don't see
the point of paying more for something I'm just going to cut away. But
this guy does make nice dishes (although kind thing and they do need to
be glued to a backing board like you mentioned.)

Like I mentioned I have already gotten someone to make them for me. I
know Mark Makes them, however the deal I got was simply too good to
pass up.

John, would the guy you got like to make a few more? I'm in need of 2 or 3 more of various sizes.

You can ask Tracy L here on the forum. He is going to be selling them.
I'll be sure to do a quick post about them when I get em and let everyone
know what I think.

Cheers

There was someone at the New England Luthiers (NEL) meeting a few months back that made a jig to create the dishes. The sad thing is, once it is made then it goes in the closet for a long time. He was letting people borrow it. I do not remember his name. If you send a message to the NEL group, I am sure he will respond.

Yeah Like I mentioned I know how to make them and they are not that
hard to make at all (pretty messy though) I just do not have the time, or
want to to have to go to the trouble to make them. It is much easier for
me to just buy them. The jig that swivels and is concave for the router to
rife on is an easy method, but again I just did not want to do it.

Same here John, I just didn't want to do it because of the mess mainly, but also because I didn't want to spend my free time on it.
